PRINCIPAL TERMS
- This agreement commences once you have indicated your acceptance in the Declaration section of the web sign up process or onsite registration.
- You can choose the start date of your membership. If you want to change this date please contact us on 07786 168781 or at dave@thevicky.co.uk and we will be more than happy to discuss your options
- This agreement will become binding on you and us when we contact you to confirm your membership has been accepted and a membership reference issued, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us.
- You will be entitled to all the rights and privileges exercisable for the Type of Membership chosen.
- You cannot transfer this agreement to anyone else.
FEES, CHARGES, PAYMENT
- There are no additional charges for the use of The Vicky during stipulated weekday hours above the membership fee for the package chosen.
- Additional fees will apply for usage outside the stipulated weekday hours.
- Payment in full is required with order prior to membership reference being issued.
- BACS transfer, PayPal and all debit and credit cards are accepted.
PRICES
- From time to time we may need to change the price of membership. We will give you at least 1 full months’ notice of any incoming price increase and will make it very clear when the price increase will take effect and how much your membership will cost after the increase. During this period you will have your usual right to terminate your membership in accordance with the membership terms and conditions and rules. If you do not terminate the membership by the date given to you in the notice then the price of your membership will be increased in accordance with our notice.
- A maximum of one free one day trial per person.
TEMINATION
- You may terminate your membership at any point by cancelling your direct debit or standing order with your bank, allowing 3 to 4 working days for the bank to action this.
- If you chose to terminate membership part way through the period already paid for, we will refund the proportion of the fee that remains unused.
GENERAL TERMS
- Members must be 16 or older.
- We expect all members to behave in a considerate, respectful manner at all times whilst at The Vicky.
- The Vicky is a no smoking facility throughout, including all outdoor spaces.
- Whilst on the premises member’s personal belongings are not insured by The Vicky. We encourage all members to make their own suitable arrangements.
- We will not be liable or responsible for the loss or theft of personal possessions
- As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to any services that are not carried out with reasonable skill and care, or if the materials we use are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these terms will affect these legal rights.
- This agreement is governed by English Law.
- We may terminate this agreement with immediate effect on notifying you if you are in breach of the Clubs Rules.

THE VICKY GDPR PRIVACY NOTICE
The Vicky takes its obligations concerning data protection seriously. We are providing this notice, so you have information about how we collect and process your personal data. We ask you to please read this Privacy Notice as it has important information you need to know.
WHAT DOES OUR COMPANY DO?
The Vicky provide a shared office space and meeting room services in Cockermouth. The main office and data functions are carried out at our head office at The Vicky, The Red Door, High Sand Lane, Cockermouth, Cumbria CA13 9NA.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT & PROCESS?
In order for us to help with your business needs we may collect from you, necessary personal data. The lawful basis for collecting this data is legitimate consent as it is required to carry out our service. “Personal Data” is information about you which, either on its own or when connected with other data, allows us to identify you as an individual customer to provide you with our services. The personal data we hold may include the following:
- Your full name and contact information (address, town, postcode, email and phone number)
- Your credit card details and/or bank account details (if paying by cheque or bank transfer)
- Your purchase details (including time, date and cost, and VAT status)
- Your calls and correspondence with us
- Your feedback
Personal data will be collected from you or passed to us by a referral business. However, some personal data may, where lawful to do so, or with your consent, be collected by us from third parties.
Please note that you are under no obligation to provide us with your personal data, but not providing certain data could prevent us from serving you.
WHY DO WE NEED YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
The Vicky processes personal data about you for a number of purposes, including:
- To prepare documentation for you in order to provide shared office space time and meeting room hire.
- To follow up with you shortly after the service to ensure you are happy with the service provided.
- For internal record keeping (to be able to respond to customer enquiry and invoicing)
- To make an appointment with you to assess the scope of the project.
- To process payments by credit/debit card or bank account details
- To remind or update you of progress or appointment dates
- To provide our services to you as requested or agreed
- To help us improve the services we offer
This list is not exhaustive and may be updated from time to time. We do not ‘trade’ in your personal data and will not sell or rent your details.
WHO WILL YOUR DATA BE SHARED WITH?
The Vicky may share information with third party suppliers as required for external services and materials, however this will only be for the contract we are carrying out at that time.
We may disclose specific information upon lawful request by government authorities, law enforcement and regulatory authorities where required or permitted by law.
In the event that we sell our business, we may share your details with the buyer to enable them to fulfil the service we have agreed with you.
Your personal information will not be transferred to, stored or otherwise processed outside the UK.
DO WE GET INVOLVED IN DIRECT MARKETING?
The Vicky does not get involved in direct marketing at present.
WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE TO AMEND PERSONAL DATA?

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
The Vicky may keep your details on record for as long as it is necessary to meet record keeping requirements. We hold financial records for seven years. They are then deleted in accordance with data protection and other applicable legislation.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE
The Vicky may change this Privacy Notice from time to time in order to reflect changes in the law.
